Store region and app availability

Shadowrocket purchases and downloads are handled through the App Store. Shadowrocket isn’t available in the mainland China App Store, so changing search terms alone usually won’t change the results. First check which storefront your account uses, then see whether the product page is available. This is the official Shadowrocket website and user guide. This page explains how to check the storefront and make a purchase; it does not provide servers or subscriptions.

The apps and prices shown in the App Store depend on the country or region of the Apple ID used to make purchases. Your device’s physical location, interface language, and system region are separate from the storefront region tied to your purchasing account. Changing your device language to English doesn’t switch the App Store to another storefront. If opening the product page from this button shows that the app isn’t available in your region, check your account details rather than assuming there’s a problem with your device.

Check your account’s country or region on your device

  1. Open Settings and tap your Apple ID account at the top.
  2. Tap Media & Purchases, choose View Account, and complete any requested verification.
  3. Check Country/Region to see which storefront your purchasing account currently uses.
  4. If you need to change it, use the Change Country or Region option on that page and review each condition shown by the system.

The path is Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region. Labels may vary slightly between system versions, so follow what appears on your device. In particular, distinguish the account used for system sync from the one used for Media & Purchases; they may be different. Look for app purchase history under the account that actually paid.

Changing regions can affect your account balance, active subscriptions, payment methods, Family Sharing, and other account settings. This guide shows where to find the setting but can’t determine whether a particular account will qualify for a change. Don’t ignore system prompts just to check a price; resolve any unmet conditions first. Opening a U.S. App Store product link won’t change your account region. Whether you can buy the app, and which currency applies, depends on what the App Store shows for your account.

IDENTITY CHECK

Developer, icon, and app ID

Check all three details together. A similar name or icon alone isn’t enough to verify the app.

Shadowrocket

Shadow Launch Technology Limited

ID 932747118

Verify each detail on the product page

First, make sure the app is named Shadowrocket, then check the developer: Shadow Launch Technology Limited. Don’t rely only on the first search result, a similar name, or the app description. If you see an app with the same or a similar name or icon, open its product page and check the developer and app ID before confirming a purchase.

Next, compare the icon: a rocket with a blue-purple outline on a white background, matching the official icon shown on this page. Treat the icon as one visual clue and verify it alongside the developer details. Matching interface labels in a screenshot aren’t a substitute for checking the product page; confirm the app you’re buying in the App Store listing that’s currently open.

Finally, check for id932747118 in the product link. The app ID identifies the product listing; the storefront region in the URL serves a different purpose. After verifying the developer, icon, and app ID, review device compatibility and the current price, then complete the purchase through the system confirmation. Don’t infer the developer from the app name or mistake another product’s purchase confirmation for Shadowrocket’s.

Use the official screenshots to identify features

The two images alongside this text are official App Store screenshots. Home shows Not Connected, Global Routing, Connectivity Test, SERVER, and Add Server. Add Server shows fields such as Type, Host, Port, Password, and Method. These labels help you follow the guide after installation, but the screenshots don’t show a connection result or mean that server details are included with your purchase.

The screenshots show the English interface, and your device may look slightly different depending on app settings and interface updates. Match feature names and their purpose rather than comparing button positions pixel by pixel. If no server entries appear the first time you open the app, that doesn’t mean you installed the wrong app. After purchase, you still need to import your own subscription or server details.

DEVICE / IPHONE

Buy and open Shadowrocket on iPhone

On your iPhone, open the App Store product page from this guide. Verify the three app details, price, and compatibility, then confirm the purchase as prompted. Check the App Store listing for system requirements; don’t assume your current device qualifies just because the app worked on another device. Payment completion and download completion are separate statuses, so check both.

After confirming the purchase, wait for the App Store to finish downloading the app, then open Shadowrocket from the Home Screen or product page. If the download stays pending, check your network connection, available storage, and any payment or verification prompts on your account. If you’ve been charged, check your purchase history and Purchased before treating the delay as a reason to pay again.

System authorization before the first connection

Opening the app for the first time and establishing a connection for the first time are separate steps. When you’re ready to add or enable a VPN configuration, the system may ask for permission and require your device passcode or biometric authentication. This authorizes a connection configuration on your device; it isn’t another app purchase. Verify that you’re acting in Shadowrocket before approving the request.

System authorization doesn’t mean your server details are ready. First import your existing subscription or enter parameters from your own server details, then check Global Routing. Config, Proxy, and Direct refer to configuration, proxy, and direct connection modes. During setup, there’s no need to change them just to make the app display a particular status.

For a step-by-step setup, see the setup guide. First check that a manual connection and basic access work as expected, then consider automatic triggers such as On Demand. This makes it easier to tell whether an issue relates to your details, connection method, or trigger conditions.

DEVICE / IPAD

iPad and other devices on the same storefront

Shadowrocket is available for both iPhone and iPad. If you’ve already purchased it with an Apple ID, use that same purchasing account for Media & Purchases on your iPad, then find the app in Purchased in the App Store and download it again. In most cases, you won’t need to buy it again just because you’re using an iPad. Check compatibility on the current product page; refer to the App Store listing for system requirements.

The iPad’s screen space, portrait and landscape layouts, and system authorization prompts may differ from those on iPhone. Some controls may appear in different places, but Home, Config, and Add Server remain useful labels for finding the right features. If a button isn’t where the guide’s screenshot shows it, check the current feature name rather than changing an unrelated setting.

Handle app purchases and configuration separately

Being able to restore an app purchase with the same account doesn’t guarantee that all server entries and configurations from your iPhone will appear on your iPad. After opening the app, check what’s already there. If you need to import anything, use your own subscription or server details. Don’t put sensitive configuration on a public page or send it to someone who doesn’t need it just to finish setup quickly.

If the iPad product page still shows a price, first confirm that Media & Purchases is using the original purchasing account, then check your purchase history. Seeing a familiar Apple ID at the top of the device doesn’t confirm that the storefront is using the account that paid. Don’t submit another transaction until you’ve checked.

Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision

The compatibility section of the same App Store listing includes Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the listing for supported devices, system requirements, and whether the purchase is universal. Shadowrocket is available on these devices through the App Store only. The detailed installation and first-time authorization steps in this guide focus on iPhone and iPad; don’t assume that controls appear in the same places on other devices.

PURCHASE HISTORY

Reinstalling on a new device and restoring a purchase

To restore the app, first identify the original purchasing account instead of searching again and paying immediately. App Store purchase history is tied to the Apple ID used to complete the transaction. After replacing a device, erasing it, or reinstalling the system, the app icon may be missing from the Home Screen; that’s separate from whether the purchase is still in your account. Find the purchase record first, then handle the download and configuration.

Redownload from Purchased

  1. Open the App Store, go to your account page, and confirm which Apple ID is currently used for store purchases.
  2. Go to Purchased. On some system versions, this option may appear as Apps or a similar label.
  3. Search for Shadowrocket in your purchase list, verify the product details, and tap the redownload button.
  4. After installation, open the app and check whether you need to restore server entries, Config, or connection authorization.

Redownloading from Purchased with the original purchasing account usually doesn’t require another payment for the app. If the app isn’t in the list, check which account made the transaction and whether the purchase history shows a completed purchase. Purchase history, the list of apps installed on your current device, and search results are separate lists; don’t conclude that a purchase is lost based on just one of them.

If the product page shows a price instead of a redownload icon, pause and check the details first. Possible reasons include using a different store account from the one that paid, an incomplete transaction, a change in storefront availability, or a purchase record listed elsewhere. Follow the transaction status shown by the system; don’t assume any one of these situations means you must buy the app again.

Restoring the app doesn’t restore your data

Redownloading only restores access to the app itself. Check your own subscriptions, server parameters, rule files, and authorization on the new device. If the old device still works, make sure you have a reliable backup of any details you need. Don’t erase the only copy of a configuration and then try to recall its settings.

Once the app is installed on your new device, reimport or restore your configuration from your existing details, then check Global Routing and try a manual connection. If you can’t connect after importing, troubleshoot the configuration and connection rather than buying the app again. Check the validity period and parameters of your existing service separately from your App Store purchase history.

Check the App Store listing for Family Sharing

Whether Family Sharing applies, which purchases can be shared, and whether family members can see an item depend on the App Store listing and your current family settings. A family member’s system account isn’t the same as their personal Purchased list. Don’t assume that any account can access the same purchase benefits. If the listing doesn’t show whether sharing applies, check the system requirements before assuming the purchase can be restored.

ONE-TIME PURCHASE

One-time purchase and
what the fee covers

The U.S. App Store reference price is $2.99. The final amount, currency, and transaction terms are shown on the purchase confirmation page for your current account.

Shadowrocket is a one-time paid app; there’s no monthly app purchase fee. The U.S. reference price is $2.99, while other storefronts show local pricing. The App Store may change prices, so check the system confirmation before paying. If the currency differs from what you expected, check your account’s storefront region rather than judging by the number alone.

A one-time app purchase doesn’t promise a term of network service or any particular connection results. The purchase record belongs to the account that paid. App updates are delivered through the App Store; you can use automatic updates or check the App Store’s updates section. Refer to the product page for system requirements and device compatibility.

Keep the two types of information separate. Check App Store purchase history to confirm whether the app purchase succeeded. Check your own service details to confirm whether an existing subscription is active and server parameters are complete. If the app opens normally but has no entries, the next step is to prepare your configuration, not to look for another app payment.

For questions about the transaction amount, duplicate charges, or purchase status, check the item in your App Store account’s purchase history and use the transaction support options provided by the system. Don’t repeatedly tap the price button to test whether payment went through, and don’t treat a failed server connection as proof that the app purchase failed. Handle the two issues separately to keep troubleshooting clear.

After verifying and purchasing the app, continue with the subscription import and first connection guide. To understand App Store availability, purchase history, and restoration conditions, see the App Store purchase guide. These steps assume you already have your own details and don’t replace the system’s purchase confirmation.

PURCHASE QUESTIONS

App purchase and installation FAQs

First distinguish storefront availability, transaction status, and configuration status, then follow the relevant checks.

Why can’t I find Shadowrocket in the App Store?

Shadowrocket isn’t available in the mainland China App Store. App availability depends on the country or region of the Apple ID used for Media & Purchases, not just your device’s location. On your device, check Settings > Apple ID > Media & Purchases > View Account > Country/Region. Changing regions is subject to the conditions shown by Apple and may not be possible for every account.

The product page opens, but the download won’t finish. What should I do?

First, confirm that App Store account verification and payment are complete. Then check available storage, your network connection, and the compatibility requirements on the product page. If the system shows an error, follow its instructions; don’t repeatedly confirm the purchase. If you’ve been charged, check your purchase history and purchased items to determine whether the transaction is incomplete or the download was interrupted.

Do I have to pay again after changing devices or reinstalling?

Sign in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase, find Shadowrocket under your App Store account’s purchased items, and download it again. In most cases, you won’t need to pay again. If a price still appears, check the purchase account, purchase history, and current storefront. Restoring the app doesn’t restore its configuration; after installing, check and import your own subscription or server details.

If I bought Shadowrocket on iPhone, do I need to buy it again for iPad?

Shadowrocket is available for both iPhone and iPad. On your iPad, use the original purchasing Apple ID for Media & Purchases, then redownload the app from Purchased. Check the App Store listing for device compatibility and system requirements. If a price appears, verify the account and purchase history before proceeding.

Can I use Shadowrocket on Mac, Apple TV, or Apple Vision?

The compatibility section of the same App Store listing includes Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the App Store listing for supported devices, system requirements, and whether the purchase is universal. Shadowrocket is available on these devices through the App Store only.

The official screenshots are in English. How do I follow the instructions?

This page uses official English App Store screenshots. The guide keeps interface labels such as Home, Global Routing, Config, and Add Server in English so you can match them step by step. Labels and layouts may vary by device and app settings; look for the feature name rather than relying on a button’s position.
